An epic, allegorical poem from the 16th century was the inspiration for this composition by perfumer Julie Dunkley. Acrasia is a character from 'The Faerie Queene' - an English epic poem by Edmund Spenser from 1590. She is a sorceress who lives on her own island - in a wondrous garden full of pleasures called the Bower of Bliss.

But appearances are deceptive - in that paradise garden there are numerous men who have been seduced, bewitched and transformed into beasts by Acrasia. A myth that is reminiscent of the sorceress Circe from Homer's Odyssey...

Fragrance Notes: Needless to say, "seduction" is the main theme of this perfume. But also the ambivalence of appearance and reality, loosely based on the motto: "A rose is a rose is not a rose".
